30+ mile ebike ride from Woodinville to Lake Sammamish
We started at “YOU ARE HERE” in the bottom left, crossed the board to Lower, Middle, and Upper Falls. From there, we proceeded to the bridge view above Upper Falls and over approximately two miles to Lake Wallace. Once there, we found our way to the Greg Ball Trail to descend back down to the trail we started on and back over to where we began. Approximately 10 miles and 1300 feet elevation gain.
Couldn’t have asked for a nicer day, meeting for the first time my Canadian writer friend Genevieve and her husband Bill on their way through to Oregon.
A meander in the rain, a little less than 3 miles total.
The plan:
We ended up parking at Thorndyke and Halliday, so we didn’t start on the loop. We crossed the Magnolia Bridge but had to turn back before Expedia because the path was unpassable, so we decided to explore as we doubled back. We got a far-less-than-encouraging view of the crumbling structure under the Magnolia Bridge, which we had just crossed. We walked along the water on W. Marina Place, U-turned and picked up the beginning of the Elliot Bay Trail at Smith Cove Park, which got us back to the car. Total: 3.6 chilly but entertaining miles.
